Leg Day is a newsletter about pursuing joy as a New York City cyclist. Once a week, I journal about my experience training for the New York City Marathon. These posts are paid-only because a) I am not an exercise scientist or licensed personal trainer with the authority to share actionable advice to a general audience b) they are written in a loose style with a lot of jargon that I’d definitely take time to explain if this was a public Leg Day post c) writing about exercise is embarrassing and I am vain.
By the end of this training week, I was completely cooked. Part of this because I was balancing training with a bunch of new assignments, but also full-time single fur fatherhood. Also, I think I must have angered a crooked wizard in a past life: each time I try to do a speed run, the rain comes. If your municipality is struggling with drought, give me a call.
